but wait, there are PLENTY OF AVAILABLE JOBS (jere in Canada) OUT THERE...PARTICULALRLY NOW as most if the Inetrnational students are
1. BEING REFUSED A VISA from where they are from
2. many are just being asked to GO BACK
MEANING.... THERE ARE WAY LESS INTERNATIONALS NOW than last year, which should translate into more available JOBS. But why keep complaining???? Why keeping saying "my son cannot get a job", 3this company only hires those types of people..."
May be your SON NEEDS to update his resume, may be your son does not know how to properly draft his resume OR...may be many of your sons ARE JUST UNEMPLOYABLE (aggressive attitudes, drugs, history of violence, parenting issues that resulted in other issues that the HR see through)
OR...may be in many cases, your sons (and daughters) have the RIGHT PROFILE, BUT...the jobs that are being on offer are:
1. VERY backbreaking requiring heaving lifting, manual handlings and more
2. Start at 5 AM and it is too early
3. ARE CUSTOMER Jobs where you will be handling phones for 9 hours a day (better live that to the Immigrant because ... too low for a pay and too boring)
4. are INDUSTRY JOB (packing meat in the back of a grocery store)
5. REPETITIVE JOBS
6. DIFFICULT JOBS (like taking care of the elders, pushing their chairs, helping them cross the street and do grocery)
BY THE WAY, FOR YOUR INFORMATION, In France ...YES FRANCE, my country!!! this country known for its FINE WINES, EXQUISITE DISHES, perfumes, cheeses, and so much more...a country that has MANY centuries worth of history and identity, and who is known for its HORRIBLE COLONIAL PAST, is OBLIGED...
YES WE FRENCH HAVE TO RELY ON .. NOT IMMIGRANTS, BUT ILLEGALS to TAKE CARE OF OUR ELDERS. YOU HEARD ME!!!! Without ILLEGALS, OUR ELDERS WILL BE IN HELL!!!
And it is not only the elders who are dependent on ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS. Other Vital sectors of our ECONOMY such as:
1: HOSPITALITY
2. CONSTRUCTION
3.CLEANING INDUSTRY
ALL THE ABOVE DEPEND ON ILLEGALS (not Legal IMMIGRANTS)
Why is that?? why in France the Legal immigrants do NOT WANT to do those Back-breaking jobs? Ohhhh...and we have so many unemployed French people too...But WHY don't they want to do those jobs??? why France has to ask for ILLEGALS to do them??? It doesn't even make sense, does it???
I am asking you, yes you Canadians and Americans - most of whom have never travelled across the Atlantic Ocean - why in France we gotta rely on ILLEGALS while we got millions of French, both WHITE and NON-WHITE who are jobless???
WHY NO FRENCH OR LEGAL IMMIGRANT WANT TO WORK IN THOSE JOBS?
The reason is very simple: ALMOST NO, ZERO, NONE WHITE PEOPLE will be willing to do SUCH JOBS!!! NONE!!!
What about the legal migrants or let's say the ILLEGALS who just got their papers or managed to get a Legal visa (many manage to do so by joining organizations or movements to put pressure on FRENCH employers to deliver them a CONTRACT. Why, because without contract, an ILLEGAL in France cannot get a visa and will remain ILLEGAL...Many of you North Americans do not know that)? well those newly legal immigrants will do everything to AVOID Working for LOUSY, EXPLOITATIVE and ABUSIVE employers from now on because NOW THEY GOT a VISA!!! And with that visa, they are entitled to LEGAL protection under French law, no one can tell them "wake up at 2 AM and clean this crap!!!" anymore or they will reported to the French "Inspection du travail" bureau! and the French cops will definitely have a look and start an investigation!!!
WHYT THE FRENCH EMPLOYERS REFUSE TO GIVE THEM A CONTRACT?
Yes, but why those NASTY FRENCH (am I insulting mysef?? ouuuh lalala...) Employers do not want to give those ILLEGALS - mostly Africans and other Asian refugees - simply because by NOT giving them a contract, they can EXPLOIT them as they wish. They can impose them LONGER hours, DRASTIC working conditions, and even ABUSE THEM verbally or more! Shame on those employers who are FRENCH like me! but do not jump in your shoes, those practices exist well in Canada too!!! oooHHHH QUE SI!!!!
But let's come back to Canada, as this is not an expose about French labour anyway...
In Canada, I have noticed that many sectors remain deficient of workers because some just DO NOT WANT TO APPLY FOR certain jobs.
And for those sons or daughters of NON-IMMIGRANT background who apply for those "hard jobs" mostly because they really have to, you quickly spot the GRUMPY-NESS, the lack of motivation , the frustration of those "FILS à PAPA" (daddy's PRIVILEGED son) when they are at those jobs because they think that those jobs are for ....immigrants or ...coloured immigrants only. They are not supposed to work there because they are the "FILS à PAPA" (a not very nice qualification there in France)
SOME BLAME THE IMMIGRANTS...BUT ARE THEYR REALLY RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS INCREASE OR ARE THEY BEING USED AS SCAPEGOATS??
Now, a few years ago particularly; many CANADIANS KEPT BLAMING IMMIGRANTS and particularly international students FOR EVERYTHING!!!
Many of the phrases that I read in social media indluded things like : "DEPORT DEPORT DEPORT", "DURKA DURKA", "CANADA IS FULL", "I CANNOT GET AN APPOINTMENT WITH MY GP COZ THERE ARE TOO MANY MIGRANTS", "IT is because of those migrants that I cannot pay my rent"
Well, let's may be focus on the 2 LAST ONES which are the most concerning. WE deal with the other later.
About housing prices, although the arrival of many internationals may have had a small effect, it is INDENIABLE to state that some local entities were RESPONSIBLE for this increase.

As all of can see, most of the housing costs that we see now are the DIRECT RESULT of the policies decided in the 1980s and 1990s, associated with this inefficient startegy of zoning laws that make things even worse for canadians!
LET'S GO BACK TO FRANCE AGAIN
Okay, IN France, you probably know...we have many IMMIGRANTS too, but on top of that, we have MANY MANY MANY ILLEGALS that are ccoming to France, via Italy, Spain or sometimes, they land witha regular visa in France but never leave the country! That means that over here, I am the one who is supposed to be VERY RACIST because...I can say...France is being invaded, or there are too many coloured people in France or instead of a blod like this, I can open one that promotes Trump like polices. BUt why do I not???

See, as I said earlier, FRANCE NEEDS tose illegals. We can deport them and I am sure that the GOvernment in paris CAN DO IT! But We know that if we start doing it, OUR ELDERS, our meat industry, our hospitals, our roads, our subway in Paris and Lyon and Toulouse will be ALL in a "CONDITION DE MERDE"
I know it and fortunately, many FRENCH are smart enough to realize that...even our offices in LA DEFENSE in paris are CLEANED BY ILLEGALS, most of which are being emplyed by companies who do not look at their status? CANADIAN HEALTHCARE IN CRISIS, WHY FRANCE CAN DO IT WITH ALL THE IMMIGRANTS WE BGOT THERE?
Now, let's talk about CANADIAN HEALTHCARE
EVRYONE here seems to complain silently about it. Unlike us FRENCH who are WHINING and COMPLAINING at HIGH VOICE while using the very AUTHENTIC FRENCH HUMOUR (probably a reason why despite ALL OUR ISSUES AND PROBLEMS in France, we got very LITTLE VIOLENCE or MOST OF our frustration goes away with our french attitude), Canadians seem to keep things INSIDE THEM and contain Frustrations in a way that I have EVER EVER SEEN!!! It surely explains why up here, we got sudden unexpected aggressive bahaviour (unseen in France) that are very hard to contemplate. IN 2022, whiel riding the transit, I witnessed 2 (WHITE) men around their 70s who were having an argument. One was accusing the other of not wearing the mask and the second one claimed he had a condition. Everything escalated soooo quickly and one of the White men walked towards to 2nd one and tried to literally choke him (starnge if you want) ahile saying very offensive things life "yous tupid mother*****, it is bcoz of m**** like you that people die in this f***** country". The victim pushed him back in a way that...oooohhhh my God.... This has put a stop to the aggression but trust me, I have ever seen anything like this, even in the suburds of Paris where one meets with coloured migrants!!! Anotehr time, I witnessed another white guy being thrown ou of an Italina grocery store in burnaby by...an Italian looking dude. I will never know why. Another time, I witnnessed two cars bumping each other on a way back from White Rock. the 2 occupants fought in the middle of a 6 lane street, using their hands!!!
Now...you guys remember this attack on a Ghanaian student when a white colleague of him stabbed him 17 times. that happened in the Prairies province.
well, this is I think the lack of humour and excessive sensitiveness brings to. Wein france have LOTS of foreigners working alongside WHITE FRENCH people...how come we never hear about such incident?
Surely racuism exists in france too, but how come, despite having 50 TIMES MORE ISSUES THAN YOU, we do not end up stabbing people liekt his sick guy from Saskatoon?

But now, let's move into the HELTHCARE
In France, we have MANY FOREIGNERS AND we have MORE THN YOU HAVE up here. On top of that, we have the French coming tomorrow the Overseas territories (LA reunion, Guyane francaise) who come to Mainland France to get a surgery. We also have MANY AFRICANS who fly to europe to get a surgery, smply because it is safer up here in Europe for them. and yet, we FRENCH do not blame those people (The africans, the asians and even canadians actually have to pay for the surgery if they come to France as many of them are not FRENCH citizens, which is expected). Those from the french territories DO NOT HAVE TO PAY as they are French themselves, even if they come from tahiti, La reunion or guadeloupe. All French territories.

And now, in 2025, many of the INTERNATIONALS are gone or have left by themselves (I really understand them as ask yourselves: “who wants to keep paying expensive tuitions when knowing for sure they won't be staying”…. unless one is stupid? I really understand them and honestly, I WOULD QUIT CANADA TOO if I were them), which SHOULD LEAVE LOTS OF ROOM..but strangely, things are still the same despite them having left? isn't the problem elsewhere then???
